Our Beginning

The first official meeting of Vallejo Faith Organization took place in July, 2007. A group of Vallejo Pastors, led by Pastor Danny Jefferson, met with a group of Vallejo Marketplace Ministers, led by Michael Brown, merged their forces in an effort to make a positive impact in the City of Vallejo.

Our Members

The Vallejo Faith Organization (VFO) is comprised of pastors and Marketplace Ministers (Business persons). Members are people from many Christian Denominations, ethnicities and political party affiliations. Although VFO is a very diverse organization of theological, cultural and political traditions, VFO is a group of Christians who adhere to traditional Christian values and biblical morality.

Our Mission

The mission of Vallejo Faith Organization is to transform and impact the City of Vallejo for positive change. Matthew 6:10. As the Community of Faith, we believe God desires to prosper Vallejo through prayer, loving acts of kindess, changed lives and the education of poverty. God wants to unify business, education, government, and the faith community - all working together in the transformation of our beautiful city.

Our Accomplishments

Below is just a small glance of the progress VFO has made towards City Transformation.

• VALLEJO ADOPT-A-SCHOOL INITIATIVE
  Mayoral Prayer Breakfast - February, 2009
  $10,000 was raised and donated to Vallejo Unified Shcool District in response to the fiscal crisis and represents one way change can be initiated for our City and School District. The purpose of the initiative is to encourage corporate and individual donations that will implement and maintain middle school sports programs; peer academic mentoring programs and other Adopt-A-School activities that lead to improved academic performance for Vallejo's children. By supporting our children, we are laying a strong foundation for Vallejo's future.
• TRANSFORMATION EXPERIENCE - July, 2009
  Worldwide Leaders who have transformed ghettos, shcools, prisons, and cities traveled by air, land and sea to Vallejo. Schools, Churches, and Local Businesses were visited, and there  Leaders imparted principles, methods, and hands-on tools to empower Vallejo for positive change.
• POLITICAL AWARENESS
  • 2007 - VFO conducted first political forum with Mayoral and City Council candidates
  • 2008 - VFO conducted legal seminars educating Pastor and religious leaders regarding current political and legal activities.
  • Ongoing - VFO conducts massive voter registration drives, which has resulted in significantly increasing absentee ballot voting.
